Semester Preview of Intake Class Batch 1 of the UNY Master of Education Policy Program
Submitted by admin on Thu, 2024-01-18 11:09Yogyakarta, December 28, 2023 - The Educational Policy Study Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) proudly hosted an online Semester Preview of the Batch 1 Intake Class for the Master of Educational Policy Program via Zoom, starting at 10:00 a.m. WIB. The event attracted more than 50 participants from across Indonesia.
The event opened with a warm welcome from the Head of the FSP Department of the Educational Policy Study Program, Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) UNY, Dr. Shely Cathrin, M.Phil. She conveyed her greetings of joy and hopes that the participants would be able to join the Masters Program in Educational Policy, which is expected to be a milestone in success in facing challenges in the field of education.
The Great Session with Prof. Dr. Mami Hajaroh, M.Pd., was the main highlight of the event, where she explained in depth about the background of the Master of Education Policy Program, the program's foundation, scientific development studies, vision and mission, and the profile of this program's graduates. In her presentation, Prof. Dr. Mami Hajaroh, M.Pd., explained five important points about the profile of the Master of Education Policy Program graduates:
a. Able to criticize the social, cultural, and historical context of local, national, and global education.
b. Able to interpret and formulate policies on Pre-school Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education, both formal and non-formal, at the National level in the context of regional policies to support decentralization.
c. Able to develop education policies in a national and regional context with a global perspective.
d. Able to provide assistance on education policies in the region
The session continued with an explanation of the curriculum structure and the degree that can be obtained by Master of Education Policy students, he also provided a clear overview of how this curriculum is designed to provide in-depth understanding and practical skills in formulating education policies.
Finally, prospective Master of Education Policy students were given a registration tutorial by a competent lecturer from the program, M. Saiful Anwar, MPA. Participants were guided through the registration process easily and received comprehensive guidance to ensure a smooth enrollment in the program.
All participants were enthusiastic and engaged in the question-and-answer session following the presentations. With high spirits, the UNY Educational Policy Study Program is optimistic that this Preview Semester Intake Class Batch 1 will mark the beginning of the influx of students in the Master of Educational Policy Study Program.
